On Saturday 12th January 2008 The Killer Penguins are destined for Zermatt in Switzerland.
This idyllic mountain village at the foot of the Matterhorn has developed into one of the best winter resorts in Switzerland.
It is possible to ski 365 days a year in Zermatt. There are over 313 km of ski runs with the longest ski run (22km) in Switzerland. The Matterhorn ski safari gives you the opportunity to enjoy the entire international ski area in one day. Skiing enthusiasts can cover 10,000 vertical metres - or even 12,000 if the runs as far as Valtournenche are included - without having to use the same run or the same lift twice.
There are no motorised vehicles in Zermatt. Besides electrically-powered cars and bicycles, the only form of transport allowed is horse-drawn sleighs and carriages.
The down-side is that it can be pricey.
